Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be a US citizen, a cancer patient or cancer survivor, accepted or plan to attend a 2 or 4 year higher education institution. Applicant must either currently reside in California or plan to attend a 2 or 4 year higher education institution in California.
Application Process: The application process consists of a completed application, at least 2 letters of recommendation, a copy of applicant’s high school transcript, acceptance letter to a 2 or 4 year higher education institution, a doctor’s written verification of cancer diagnosis, and one-page essay about applicant’s path to recovery. Within 6 months of the scholarship award, recipient must submit a one-page report to ERC Cancer Scholarship Fund to make them aware of scholarship recipient’s activities and accomplishments at college.
Assistance Provided: $1,000 Scholarships are awarded in May to one senior at each of the five comprehensive high schools in El Dorado County, California. (El Dorado HS, Golden Sierra HS, Oak Ridge HS, Ponderosa HS and Union Mine HS).
- Applicant must have an immediate family member (living in the household), diagnosed with cancer of any type.
- A parent or surviving family member must verify that the diagnosis is valid.
Application Process: Applications can be found at www.edc-scholarships.org.Applicants will complete application and write and essay (not more than 500 words) describing the lessons they learned from the cancer experience.
Assistance Provided: Four scholarship awards of $1,000 each to cancer survivors diagnosed with cancer prior to age 21 and one scholarship award of $1,000 to a hematology survivor diagnosed prior to age 21. Scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and books.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must either be currently receiving treatment or have completed treatment for cancer. Applicant must be a resident of Southern California.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be a Fairfield County resident who are cancer patients or cancer survivors.
Application Process: The application deadline is April 1. The application process consists of: a medical verification form is required for first time applicants and encouraged for past recipients, most recent transcript, estimate of education expenses and financial support, letter of recommendation, signed publicity release, and interview.
