Keeping a Cancun Frame of Mind

Just over a week ago, my family and I were relaxing on the warm and sunny beaches of Cancun. Since we have been back, it has been a non-stop whirlwind of activity: two full-time jobs, pre-school for the little guy, potty training, apartment hunting, and a full social calendar. I am exhausted and I just came back from vacation!

So I am taking a minute to sit back, take stock, and count my blessings. I am still HERE to kvetch and complain about all the little annoyances. This spring, I celebrated 2 years past treatment and our 11 year anniversary as a couple.  Tomorrow, I will have my long-anticipated nipple reconstruction procedure. This summer, I will celebrate 3 years past diagnosis, 3 years past my bilateral mastectomy and 8 years of happy marriage to the love of my life.

Thinking about all these milestones is my mental mini-vacation: it makes me smile and take a break from the hectic daily grind!
